Matthew Jolly

Matthew was appointed National Clinical Director for maternity and women’s health in October 2015. He is an experienced obstetrician who is committed to providing personal and safe care. His role for NHS England and Improvement includes the strategic improvement of maternity services and women’s health.

He leads the Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle project and the data and information sharing work stream of the Maternity Transformation Programme. In October 2016 Matthew was appointed one of two National Maternity Patient Safety Champions along with Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent (Chief Midwifery Officer) and together they provide clinical leadership for the CNST incentive scheme.
