Dr. Sarah Stock
I am a Wellcome Trust Clinical Career Development Fellow at the Usher Institute at the University of Edinburgh; and a Consultant and Subspecialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at the Simpson Centre for Reproductive Health at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. I went to Manchester University Medical School, and have a PhD from the University of Edinburgh. My specialist and subspecialist clinical training was undertaken in Edinburgh, with periods in Glasgow, London and Australia.
My main research interests are in preterm labour, fetal inflammation, and stillbirth and I lead both laboratory and clinical research studies. My aim is to improve prediction of preterm birth, and develop strategies that improve neonatal and longer-term outcomes.
